Location. The Pestana Cascais hotel (formerly Atlantic Gardens) is situated by the sea in Cascais, Portugal. It is within two kilometres of Estoril Casino and 10 kilometres from Oeiras Portugal's 'Silicon Valley'. Lisbon is 25 kilometres away.
Hotel Features. Pestana Cascais is a whitewashed modern apartment style hotel. The lobby has a terracotta floor, easy chairs, bar and nautical themed decor.
Overlooking Pestana Cascais hotel's indoor pool, wood floored Restaurante Oceano offers Mediterranean and international dishes. Drinks and snacks are served at the maritime themed Atlantic Bar in the lobby, and at the outdoor Pool Bar, open most of the year.
The hotel offers conference facilities and meeting rooms for up to 250 people on the lower ground floor. There is a business centre with high speed Internet access (surcharge), photocopier, fax and secretarial services.
The Pestana Cascais has a heated indoor pool, gym, hot tub, sauna and steam room. Massages are available in rooms (surcharge may apply). Outside there are two further pools, including one for children. During the summer a kids' club offers complimentary daytime activities. Decorated with dark wood furniture, whitewashed walls, and bright bedspreads, the 149 air conditioned guestrooms have garden or sea views with balconies, separate seating areas, kitchenettes, safes and high speed Internet connections (surcharge). Marble bathrooms have separate baths and showers.
Expert Tip. The UNESCO World Heritage town of Sintra, 16 kilometres away, boasts a Moorish castle, and fantastical palaces and gardens.

From Lisbon (Portela) International Airport (LIS):
Distance to Pestana Cascais is 27 kilometres, approximately 40 minutes' drive.
Getting there. Aerobus shuttle, number 91, runs between the airport, Lisbon city centre and the Cais do Sodre railway station every 20 minutes. Tickets cost 2 EUR for a single and 3.10 EUR for all day travel, and can be purchased on board. Connecting trains run to Cascais, the closest station to the hotel. A shuttle bus runs hourly to Estoril and Cascais, costing 8.50 EUR. Taxis cost 10 EUR to Lisbon city centre. There are extra fees for luggage and a 20 percent surcharge for night services. Prices are all subject to change.
Driving directions. From Lisbon (Portela) International Airport airport, take highway A5, towards Cascais, to its end.
At the first roundabout, turn right
At the second roundabout, turn left
At the third roundabout, go straight over
Take the second left off the main road where there is a sign for the hotel.
