Located on a cliff top, the Rocha Brava Apartmentos Turisticos are set in beautifully landscaped gardens with lakes and wildlife, 950 metres from the beach of Vale Centeanes. The 410 villas and apartments have a light contemporary decor with wooden furnishings and colour coordinated fabrics. Rooms lead out on to balconies or terraces with patio furniture and views of the gardens or pool. Kitchens come complete with cookware, dishes and refrigerators. Bathrooms have bathtub/shower combos and bidets. All apartments are equipped with cable television, safes, and ironing boards.
Guests can enjoy pampering at the holistic healing and beauty centre, with a range of treatments, including facials, manicures, pedicures, massages, aromatherapy and acupuncture. Alternatively, sun worshippers can lounge on the terraces with a cocktail from the poolside bar. The hotel has a trio of swimming pools to choose from and acres of beautifully landscaped gardens, so there's plenty of space to relax. More active guests can take tennis lessons on the hotel's four tennis courts, go for a workout at the fitness centre, hire bicycles and scooters onsite, or catch the courtesy shuttle bus to the nearby fishing village of Carvoeiro. The hotel also caters for children, with its miniclub, children's swimming pool, playground, and children's menu. The Restaurant O Farol serves traditional Portuguese and international dishes, specialising in locally caught seafood, and is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Keen golfers can enjoy the Gramacho and Vale de Pinta 18 hole golf courses, both eight kilometres away, while families enjoy fun days out at at Slide and Splash water park, ten kilometres away. Faro Airport is 65 kilometres away.
Renovation Notice:
The hotel's O Farol Restaurant is scheduled to close for renovations beginning November 12 and is expected to reopen December 18, 2007. These dates are subject to change.
