Just 19 kilometers south of Playa del Carmen on the Yucatan Peninsula in Mexico and across from the island of Cozumel, the Serena Hotel and Spa is located in Puerto Aventuras, a paradise like setting nestled between lagoon, ocean and exotic jungle. The Serena Hotel is accessible from the main road through Puerto Aventuras, a planned golf and marina community in the Riviera Maya, on the way to Tulum. The Cancun International Airport is a one hour drive.
The entry road winds through a landscaped nine hole golf course, and the central business area includes tennis courts, fishing and scuba diving services, restaurants, shopping areas, and one of the few places in Mexico to swim with the dolphins. The entrance features waterfalls, fountains, glass walls and marble floors. Guests discover the pool, restaurant and health spa located on the second floor. A "sweat lodge," built in accordance with ancient Aztec tradition and healing ceremonies, is also on site. Banquet services are available, with private areas for social receptions and weddings.
The hotel's cabanas, each individually decorated, come complete with two queen beds on the first floors and large suites with a king beds on the second floors. Guests can enjoy amenities such as air conditioning, ceiling fans, satellite television, direct dial telephones and private terraces.
