Location. The Hotel Silla Firenze is located in Florence, Italy, within 700 metres of the gothic basilica of Santa Croce and one kilometre from Piazza della Signora and the fountain of Neptune. The train station is located one kilometre from the hotel.
Hotel Features. Hotel Silla Firenze is set in the San Niccolo neighbourhood on the shores of the Arno River, in the historic centre of Florence. Built in a 17th century Florentine villa, the hotel boasts a Renaissance style with an entrance through a garden and an interior courtyard.
A complimentary buffet breakfast is served daily on the terrace or in the breakfast room. The hotel bar features a terrace that overlooks the river and Demidoff Park.
The hotel has wireless Internet access available throughout, and there is a fax service and daily newspapers available on request.
A reading room and a television lounge are offered.
Guestrooms. There are 35 classically designed air conditioned guestrooms at Hotel Silla. All feature pictorial themes with artistic masterpieces on the walls, and offer views of Demidoff Park, the Arno River or Via de' Renai. Amenities include satellite television, minibars, safes and hair dryers.
Expert Tip. The Uffizi Gallery is located 900 metres from the hotel. Uffizi, meaning 'offices', was once the Medici offices. It remains one of the most famous museums of Italy, and houses Renaissance paintings by Leonardo da Vinci, Michelangelo, Raphael Sanzio and Sandro Botticelli, to name a few. Reserving tickets is advised.

From Florence Vespucci Airport (FLR):
Distance to Hotel Silla is 6 kilometres, approximately 10 minutes' drive.
Getting there. Taxis to Hotel Silla cost 20 EUR, and the journey time is about 10 minutes. An airport bus departs for Florence's Santa Maria Novella Station every 30 minutes. Single tickets cost 6 EUR. Terravision coaches travel to central Florence and Pisa Airport. Tickets cost 12 EUR, and the price includes a one day pass for Florence's city buses. Prices are all subject to change.
Getting around. Florence is compact and easily explored on foot. There are traffic restrictions in the city centre, and parking is expensive. Bright orange buses operate throughout the city centre. Tickets are available at vending machines or from tobacconists. Tickets are sold based on length of time, and are available for one, two or 24 hours. There is a taxi rank in front of Santa Maria Novella Station.
Driving directions. From highway A1 take the Firenze Sud Exit.
At the first traffic light turn left heading straight to Ponte da Verrazzano.
Cross over Ponte da Verrazzano and turn right along the Arno.
Proceed on Lungarno Ferrucci and Lungarno Cellini until the Piazza Demidoff.
Via de' Renai will be on the left.
