The Hotel Richelieu is a traditional French hotel situated in the business district of Lyon, 400 metres from the Gare de le Part Dieu. The 40 air conditioned guestrooms are decorated in a simple contemporary style, with dark woods and richly coloured fabrics. All are equipped with complimentary high speed Internet connections, satellite television, direct dial telephones and bathrooms with shower/tub combinations, bathrobes, scales, hair dryers and complimentary toiletries.

Deer roam the Parc de le Tete d'Or botanic gardens, 1.5 kilometres away, and the Musee de Beaux Arts, housing a collection of international artworks and antiquities, is two kilometres from the hotel. Lyon Saint Exupery (Satolas) Airport is 20 kilometres away, with an approximate driving time of 25 minutes.

Trains run from the airport's TGV station and serve many national French destinations. A taxi rank is located in front of Terminal 1, level 1. A taxi desk is also located on level 1 in the central hall. The airport shuttle bus runs every 20 minutes to Lyon city centre, departing from bus stop number 1; a return ticket costs around 15 EUR. Guests should take the bus directly to Gare de le Part Dieu, which is 400 metres from the hotel. A four line metro system and over 85 bus lines service Lyon its surroundings. Tickets for both systems are obtained at city kiosks, the train stations, vending machines and from bus drivers. Lyon can also be explored on foot; Rue Victor Hugo and Rue de la Republique traverse the central city and extend across the Saone River into Vieux Lyon.
