Location. An example of 18th century architectural style, the Chateau Mont Royal offers a commanding presence amid the forests of Chantilly, France. Medieval Senlis is positioned nine kilometres from the hotel, and the delights of Paris await 50 kilometres away.
Hotel Features. Originally built as a hunting lodge in 1908, this hotel retains much of its original old world charm. High style buffet style breakfasts are prepared in The Opera Room, a setting that replicates Paris' beautiful Opera Comique. Gourmet French cuisine and an extensive wine list are offered at Le Stradivarius, where antiquarian books and a fireplace create elegant ambience. Views of the Chantilly forest, white marble columns and hand painted frescoes create an aura of opulence at Intermezzo Bar, particularly known for its fine malt whiskies. Drinks are served al fresco during summer months. This hotel offers a variety of business amenities that include fax, photocopy and print services. A choice of 12 function rooms accommodates up to 250 guests, and a ballroom can be reserved for wedding ceremonies and banquets. Recreation includes use of an indoor pool, a fitness room, a spa tub and a sauna. Squash and tennis courts are located on the hotel's premises. The Chateau Mont Royal also offers billiards, table tennis, mountain bike rentals and horseback riding.
Guestrooms. This property offers 100 air conditioned guestrooms decorated in traditional French style. Views from all guestrooms are of the forested Chantilly hills. Accommodations are furnished with desks and chairs, coffee tables with two chairs, and armoires. Rooms include satellite television and direct dial telephones. Stocked minibars are complimentary. Expert Tip. Located nine kilometres from the hotel, the Royal Abbey of Chaalis dates back 700 years. The artifacts of philosopher Jean Jacques Rousseau are housed here, and offer insights into his life and work. Other attractions include a beautiful rose garden, a vast park, and original stables.
