Located on the edge of Beaune's Old Town centre, the Best Western Henry II hotel is comprised of a historic, listed building together with a sensitively designed modern extension, and is decorated with an eye for historical interior details. The 50 air conditioned guestrooms feature individual d�cor reflecting Louis XV, Louis XVI, Directoire or Belle Epoque styles, with rich colours and fabrics and antique style furniture. All include cable television, direct dial telephones, minibars and private bathrooms with hairdryer.
Guest can enjoy buffet breakfasts for a fee in the elegant dining room or in the comfort and privacy of their own rooms, then relax later on with a drink from the lobby bar and browse the daily papers in the wood panelled lobby lounge. The front desk is open round the clock and has a safe deposit box for valuables and high speed Internet access is available. Guests with cars will appreciate garage parking nearby. Tours of Beaune's many wine cellars, trips to the vineyards and tours of the historic centre can be arranged through the hotel. The 15th century hospice building and the wine museum are under a kilometre away. Further afield, Clos de Vougeot and Chateau de la Rochepot are about a 15 kilometre drive from the hotel. The nearest airport is Lyon, which is about 150 kilometres and an hour and a half drive away. Trains run from the airport's TGV station and serve many French destinations. A taxi rank is located in front of Terminal 1, level 1. A taxi desk is also located on level 1 in the central hall. Beaune TGV train station is 500 metres from the hotel.
