Location. Located 25 kilometers north of Cairns in the serene setting of Palm Cove, (Queensland, Australia), Paradise on the Beach Resort lies opposite a public beach and less than one kilometer from day spas and water sport activities. The Palm Cove jetty, located one half kilometer from the resort, is a popular fishing, scuba and snorkeling destination, and is the departure point for the Great Barrier Reef.
Hotel Features. Apres Bar & Grill prepares full breakfasts and international fare that includes seafood, modern Australian and Italian dishes. A kiosk with dial up Internet access is located in the lobby. An outdoor lagoon style, palm fringed pool and spa tub are positioned alongside a staffed minibar and rinse down shower, while a children's playground is located on the beachfront. A small library offers a selection of books and games, or a tour desk can arrange off site excursions to visit the magnificent Great Barrier Reef and tropical rainforest. Additional amenities include Town Car service and guest laundry facilities.
Guestrooms. The low rise Paradise on the Beach Resort offers 34 guest suites on two levels. All accommodations feature dial up Internet access. Suites provide shaded, furnished balconies with views of the beach, or the garden and pool. Studios and suites are designed with terracotta tiles, rattan furniture, and timber plantation shutters. All guestrooms are nonsmoking, although smoking is permitted on the balconies. All upper level guestrooms are served by elevator.
Expert Tip. A supermarket and shopping village are located directly outside this resort's grounds, and a year round swimming beach lies across the road.
